Wallace China Desert Ware Restaurant Ware Mustard Yellow Vintage 9 1/2" Divided Grill Plate

This is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing NOTE: there are scratches you can notice when the light reflects off them. This is an authentic piece of vintage American restaurant ware: a Wallace China "Desert Ware" grill plate in highly sought-after mustard yellow.

This is the classic 3-compartment divided “grill” or “meat & two” plate form — two upper side sections with a large main well — designed for hearty diner breakfasts and hot lunch plates.

Made from thick, fully vitrified commercial china, Wallace pieces were built for daily heavy use and are noticeably heavier and more durable than household dinnerware. The clean white body with a grey and salmon-pink banded rim gives it that unmistakable mid-century diner look collectors love.
