Betschdorf Alsace Signed Remmy Blue Salt Glazed Stoneware Grape Vine Pattern Antique 4 1/4" Pitcher 1870-1900

This one is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing NOTE: there is a nonthreatening hairline at the inner rim(SEE picture with pen). Very Nice Antique Cream Pitcher. This listing is for an authentic late-19th century Betschdorf (Alsace, France) salt-glazed stoneware creamer / small pitcher, beautifully decorated in deep hand-brushed cobalt grape clusters and finished with a raised molded green grape leaf — a highly desirable decorative motif produced by the historic village potteries of Betschdorf.

The base is hand-incised and signed “Remmy,” identifying production by the Remmy family workshop, one of the best-known and most collectible Betschdorf pottery families. These signed village wares were produced in limited quantities and were primarily sold regionally, making surviving signed examples especially sought after by European stoneware collectors.

This charming bulbous creamer form features traditional salt glaze with warm honey-tan tones, strong cobalt decoration, and excellent weight and feel — a true example of late-19th century Alsace village craftsmanship.
