Goodwin Pottery East Liverpool Ohio Semi-Porcelain Ruffled Wild Rose Aesthetic 7 1/8" Pitcher 1890-1900

This one is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks NOTE: there is natural crazing, and some light interior staining. Offered is a rare and highly decorative antique semi-porcelain pitcher by the Goodwin Pottery Company of East Liverpool, Ohio, dating to the late Victorian Aesthetic Period, circa 1890–1900.

This piece features Goodwin’s signature ivory satin-glaze body with a scalloped rim, beautifully enhanced by hand-painted wild rose floral sprays in soft pink and green with applied gold dusting at the rim. The rose decoration is hand painted and was produced in limited quantities for parlor and decorative service wares rather than hotel or commercial blanks.

The form itself is especially desirable — a deep-scalloped lobed pitcher with flowing Art Nouveau influence, created specifically for chocolate, syrup, or fancy cream service. These forms were discontinued prior to 1900 and are increasingly difficult to locate today in fully decorated condition.

The underside bears the original Goodwin Pottery Semi-Porcelain wreath backstamp, Est. 1884, East Liverpool, Ohio, used only during the company’s peak production period (circa 1888–1896).
