Nippon Porcelain Blue & Gold Antique 2" Salt & Pepper Shakers Caddy Set 1911-1921

DESCRIPTION

This Nippon porcelain salt and pepper shaker caddy set is in Very Good Antique Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Repairs. NOTE: There is wear to the gold on one shaker. The set features a pair of small porcelain salt and pepper shakers displayed in their matching handled caddy. The pieces are decorated in soft blue and white with hand-painted gold trim and accents. The tall center handle with circular top gives the caddy an attractive early 20th-century form.

Very Good Antique Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Repairs. NOTE: There is wear to the gold on one shaker. Additional light age-related wear may be present consistent with the age and use of the set. Please review the photos for complete condition.

PROVENANCE

This antique porcelain shaker set bears the green Hand Painted Nippon M-in-Wreath mark associated with Morimura Brothers. The Nippon M-in-Wreath mark was used on Japanese porcelain exported to the United States during the early 20th century, with this mark dating to the 1911-1921 period. The matching shakers and handled caddy are an attractive example of Nippon tableware from this era, combining soft blue and white porcelain with hand-painted gold decoration.


The shakers measure 2" High and the stand is 2 1/4" High x 2 7/8" Wide. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Shaker Set.
