ITEM DESCRIPTION
This Pair of Morgantown Glass No. 80 Modern Peacock Blue Candleholders is in Excellent Vintage Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Fleabites. Made by Morgantown Glass Works of Morgantown, West Virginia, these elegant matching candleholders date to approximately the 1960s and each measures approximately 6 1/4" tall.
The candleholders feature Morgantown's sleek No. 80 Modern design, with tall slender stems rising from broad circular feet. The upper candle cups have clean architectural forms with vertical molded detailing that provides subtle texture while maintaining the streamlined appearance of the design.
The rich Peacock Blue glass is especially striking, displaying beautiful blue-green and turquoise tones as light passes through the glass. The long narrow stems and substantial circular bases create graceful, well-balanced silhouettes characteristic of Morgantown's mid-century glassware.
The original triangular Morgantown Glass foil labels remain attached, providing excellent identification of the maker.
