PATTERN & DESIGN
The Theresienthal Garda pattern is distinguished by its elegant flared forms and subtle spiral Swirl Optic treatment, creating a graceful sense of movement throughout the glass. These champagne sherbets feature broad, shallow Rose colored bowls with beautifully undulating optic surfaces, supported by delicate clear stems and broad circular feet.
Garda was produced by the renowned German glassworks Theresienthal and was associated with F. Schmidt in the American market. The Garda design originated during the late 1920s and continued into the following decades. These c1930s examples beautifully reflect the refined European table glass aesthetic of the Art Deco period. The combination of Rose coloring, optical movement and delicate proportions gives Garda its distinctive and sophisticated appearance.
These measure 4 3/8" High x 4 1/2" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of these Glasses.
