Description

Imperial Marigold Carnival Glass Shell / Shell And Sand Antique 8" Bowl 1910–1930s

This one is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. There may be light surface wear and minor age-related marks from normal use and handling over time. Beautiful marigold iridescence with a warm golden amber base color, a softly scalloped and crimped rim, and the crisp Shell and Sand pattern showing well throughout.

This Carnival glass piece is from a lifetime collection of well over a thousand pieces of Carnival Glass collected over the years. We were very lucky to be able to purchase over 180 pieces from this collection and make them available to our buyers.

PATTERN & DESIGN

Imperial's Shell and Sand pattern is known for its bold radiating shell-like panels and textured ground, which catch and reflect light beautifully under the marigold iridescent finish. The center has a strong pressed starburst style design, while the body rises into repeating shell motifs and a softly ruffled edge that gives the bowl excellent display presence.

It measures 8" wide rim to rim and has a pleasing low footed form with a gently flared body and crimped edge. The rich iridescent finish shows attractive highlights across both the interior and exterior, making it a strong example for display or collection.
