Description

Gladding McBean Franciscan California Pottery Aqua Glossy Finish Coronado Swirl 5 1/2" ScarceTab Handled Individual Casserole with Lid 1934-1938

These are in Excellent Condition with No Chips, No Cracks, No Crazing. NOTE: There is a hard-to-notice small line crack that happened when this was first made under the finial on the lid (SEE Picture with Pen). Very Nice scarce Aqua Glossy color Individual Casserole. This individual casserole dish is part of the Gladding McBean Coronado line, a mid-century California pottery pattern known for its swirl motif. The casserole features a glossy Aqua (turquoise) glaze. The pattern is in a distinct swirl, which wraps rhythmically around both the base and lid. The domed lid has a matching swirl finial handle. These are rare and hard to find, especially in the glossy turquoise glaze. These have the GMBC mark in an oval, which dates this from 1934 to 1938. This one looks very well taken care of, perhaps under glass or in a cabinet for a long period of time.
This measures 3 1/2" High to the top of the finial on the lid x 6" Wide handle to handle x 5 1/4" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this casserole.

The pictures are of the exact piece you will receive. Photography Props & photo stands are not included.
