ITEM DESCRIPTION

This is a striking hand blown studio art glass elephant featuring a smoky grey seeded core encased in clear glass. The body shows a dense, misty grey interior that gives the piece depth and movement when viewed in different lighting.

The trunk is skillfully pulled from the body rather than applied, while the ears are applied separately, showing solid hand-worked construction. The form is heavy and well-balanced, with a smooth polished base.

Pieces like this were commonly produced in mid-20th century European studios, particularly in Czech and Eastern European glassworks, known for their quality decorative animal figures and distinctive seeded interiors.

ITEM CONDITION

This piece is in Excellent Vintage Condition with No Chips and No Cracks. NOTE: There is light wear on the base from age and handling. The glass remains glossy and clear, with no damage to the trunk or applied ears.
