PATTERN & DESIGN
The Muses with Pegasus pattern is one of Wedgwood's most recognizable Jasperware designs, inspired by classical Greek mythology. Pegasus, the winged horse, appears prominently on the lid, while the body is decorated with elegant muses in flowing drapery. Executed in crisp white relief against Wedgwood's iconic blue Jasperware ground, the design reflects the neoclassical style championed by Josiah Wedgwood and remains a favorite among collectors today.
This measures 1 7/8" High x 2 5/8" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Trinket Box.
