Imperial Glass IG Mark Octagon Imperial Lace Amethyst Iridescent Carnival Glass Vintage 2 1/2" Toothpick Holder 1960s–1970s

This one is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Flea Bites. The carnival glass displays strong iridescence with rich amethyst tones. There is only light surface wear on the base from normal use.

ITEM DESCRIPTION

This Imperial Glass Company toothpick holder features the Octagon pattern, also known as Imperial Lace, in a striking amethyst carnival glass finish. The design showcases bold geometric panels filled with starbursts, crosshatching, and textured elements that reflect light with vibrant iridescence.

The scalloped rim and compact form give it a classic look, while the deep coloring and high iridescent finish make it stand out as a decorative piece. The inside base is marked with the Imperial “IG” logo, confirming production during the later Imperial period.

This piece is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Flea Bites. The pattern remains crisp and well defined. NOTE: There are light surface scratches on the base consistent with normal use.

PATTERN & DESIGN

The Octagon, or Imperial Lace pattern, features geometric panels filled with starburst and crosshatch designs arranged in a repeating structure. This pattern became popular during Imperial’s later carnival glass production period and is known for its bold texture and strong light reflection.

This measures 2 1/2" High x 2 1/2" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Toothpick.
