Vintage Sterling China restaurant ware dessert plate featuring a classic earth-tone multi-stripe band design from the early 1980s. Durable, heavy diner ware with retro café appeal.

ITEM DESCRIPTION

Authentic Sterling China restaurant ware dessert plate measuring approximately 6 1/2" in diameter. Produced in Wellsville, Ohio and marked Union Made.

The rim features alternating vertical stripes in shades of brown, rust, tan, and caramel encircling a clean ivory well. This stripe band design reflects the popular earth-tone aesthetic of the period and was widely used in diners, schools, and institutional settings.

ITEM CONDITION

Very Good vintage condition.
No chips. No cracks. No crazing.

There are light utensil marks and minor surface scratches in the well consistent with normal restaurant use. Gloss remains strong and the stripe band remains crisp and well defined.

PATTERN & DESIGN

This earth-tone stripe band design reflects the warm, practical aesthetic of late 20th century American diner ware. The alternating vertical banding creates a clean graphic border while maintaining the durability expected from commercial restaurant porcelain. A solid addition for collectors of vintage institutional china or retro café décor.
