Description

Antique New England Glass Co. Pomona Art Glass Dual Texture Amber-Stained Rim & Frosted Satin Base 3 3/4" Set of Two 8oz Tumblers 1885-1890

These are in Excellent Condition with No Chips, No Cracks, and No Fleabites. NOTE: One tumbler is (1/8") one eighth of an inch taller than the other glass. It is hard to see the difference unless you put them both side by side. Very Nice antique Pomona Glass set of two tumblers. These are exceptional Antique Pomona Art Glass Tumblers, hand-blown by the New England Glass Company, Cambridge, Massachusetts, circa 1885–1890.

Both tumblers showcase Joseph Locke’s patented Pomona process (patents 1885 & 1886), combining acid-etched satin frosting with clear and polished areas for a soft, luminous contrast. The glass is clear lead crystal with a delicate, amber-stained rim that glows warmly in reflected light.
These have a frosted base and a ground and polished pontil. The transition from glossy upper wall to frosted lower body is seamless and beautifully executed. The weight and clarity of the glass reflect the quality of late 19th-century New England production before the company transitioned to Libbey.
These measure approximately 3 3/4" High x 2 1/2" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this art glass Tumblers.

(The pictures are of the exact pieces you will receive). Photography Props & photo stands are not included.
