ITEM DESCRIPTION

This vintage studio art glass paperweight features a bold sailboat design set within deep cobalt blue glass. The design is created using bright yellow frit or powder glass, forming a stylized sailboat with triangular sails and a defined hull.

The piece has a smooth, rounded dome form with a high-gloss finish that enhances the depth and contrast of the internal decoration. The dark blue ground provides a strong backdrop, allowing the sailboat motif to stand out vividly.

This type of paperweight is characteristic of late 20th century studio glass, where simple, modern designs were encapsulated within solid glass forms.
