ITEM DESCRIPTION

This Bohemian Czech art glass rose bowl features a classic cased glass construction with a rich blue outer layer over a white interior. The surface is finished in a soft satin texture and displays a molded diamond quilt pattern that wraps evenly around the form. The piece has a rounded body with a ruffled rim, giving it a traditional rose bowl shape designed for short-stem floral arrangements. The combination of the satin finish and the quilted optic pattern creates a subtle, diffused look that highlights the contrast between the blue exterior and white interior. This is a well-made mid-20th century example of Central European art glass.

PATTERN & DESIGN

The diamond quilt pattern is created through molded optic work, producing a repeating geometric design across the surface. The satin finish softens the appearance of the pattern, while the cased construction enhances the contrast between the blue exterior and white interior. The ruffled rim adds movement to the form and complements the rounded body, making this a classic and decorative example of mid-century Bohemian glass design.
