PATTERN & DESIGN

This F69 & F70 Asian Couple is a wonderful example of the elaborate decorative figurines produced by Florence Ceramics of Pasadena, California during the mid-20th century.

The two figures were created as coordinating companions, with complementary costumes, poses, colors, and decorative elements. Their creamy ivory-white glaze provides a beautiful background for the extensive hand-painted gold scrollwork and detailing.

The F70 gentleman's prominent dragon decoration provides a dramatic focal point, while the F69 woman's delicate floral motifs and flowing gown give her a graceful appearance. Applied dimensional flowers, elaborate headdresses, expressive hand-painted faces, and generous gold decoration add to the character of both figures.

Displayed together, this impressive 8" pair beautifully represents the distinctive elegance and craftsmanship associated with vintage Florence Ceramics California figurines.

These measure approximately 8" High. I have provided many pictures to best describe the condition of these Figurines.
