PATTERN & DESIGN

The tumble up set is a traditional bedside water service that has been appreciated for generations, consisting of a water pitcher with a matching tumbler that fits over the mouth of the pitcher to serve as a lid. During the late twentieth century, studio glass artists revived this classic form, producing individually hand-blown examples that emphasized artistry, color, and craftsmanship. This example features a striking iridescent cobalt blue finish over a crackle-style texture, giving the glass remarkable depth and visual movement. The polished pontil, hand-applied handle, and free-blown construction further reflect the quality and individuality that make studio art glass so desirable among collectors today.

This set measures 6 7/8" High total. The carafe is 5 7/8" High x 3" Wide spout to rim and the tumbler is 3 1/4" High x 2 1/8" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Tumble Up Set.
