ITEM DESCRIPTION
This is a wonderful Ceramic Arts Studio porcelain figurine designed by Betty Harrington and known as Pioneer Susie, dating to 1947. Susie is shown in a traditional pioneer-style dress with a bright cobalt blue apron, cream-colored skirt, peach trim, and blue decorative accents. Her expressive pose, with both arms raised, gives the figurine plenty of character and movement.

This is one of Betty Harrington’s charming early Ceramic Arts Studio designs and displays beautifully with other Pioneer Series figures.

PATTERN & DESIGN
Pioneer Susie features the distinctive hand-decorated styling associated with Ceramic Arts Studio during the 1940s. She wears a cream pioneer dress with a vivid cobalt blue apron decorated with small floral accents, peach-colored trim, and blue detailing around her neckline. Her black hair, rosy cheeks, and delicately painted facial features complete the classic Betty Harrington appearance.

A very attractive example of Ceramic Arts Studio’s postwar American porcelain figurines and a desirable addition to a Betty Harrington or Ceramic Arts Studio collection.

Susie measures 5" High x 3 1/5" Wide hand to hand. I have provided many pictures to best describe the condition of this Figurine.
