ITEM DESCRIPTION

This vintage Florence Ceramics Pasadena Clarissa Lady Figurine is in Excellent Vintage Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing. Made by Florence Ceramics of Pasadena, California, this elegant figurine dates from 1942–1964 and measures approximately 7 1/2" tall.

Clarissa depicts an elegantly dressed young woman wearing a flowing soft gray gown accented with rich burgundy details. She is posed gracefully with one hand raised near her shoulder while holding an elaborate burgundy accessory in her other hand.

Her period-style gown features a fitted bodice, high collar, puffed sleeves and a dramatically flowing full skirt. Small burgundy painted accents decorate the front of the bodice.

Clarissa's delicately modeled face features painted eyes, rosy cheeks and red lips. Her blonde hair is framed by a rich burgundy bonnet decorated with a dimensional feather, while a coordinating burgundy scarf is tied around her neck.

The underside is impressed "Clarissa" and bears the Florence Ceramics Pasadena, California copyright mark.

Clarissa is a wonderful example of Florence Ceramics' romantic lady figurines, featuring an elaborate period costume, graceful pose and carefully hand-painted details.

Her sweeping gray gown is sculpted with deep flowing folds and contrasted by rich burgundy accents. The matching bonnet and neck scarf add dramatic color to the otherwise understated gray palette.

A particularly attractive detail is the ornate burgundy accessory held at the front of her skirt, decorated with raised floral and gold-tone accents that provide additional texture and color.
