ITEM DESCRIPTION

This antique Charlotte Bavaria porcelain serving bowl features a beautifully hand-painted design signed “Ruby Smith Ervin 1913.” The decoration displays a coastal oyster shell and marine motif accented with soft green washes, naturalistic shell forms, and delicate botanical elements. The painting is finely detailed and artist-signed, adding to the desirability and collectibility of the piece.

The bowl has an elegant scalloped form with applied open handles and raised gold gilt accents along the rim and handles. The flowing shape and soft coloration are characteristic of early 20th century Bavarian porcelain, known for its quality blanks and skilled studio decoration.

The combination of hand-painted artistry, signed decoration, and distinctive oyster shell theme makes this a standout display piece.
