Description

Royal Stafford Porcelain Odd Fellows Antique Rebekah IOOF Crescent Moon Seven Star Dove 1 7/8" Altar Offering Sugar Bowl 1890-1905

This is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing. Very nice Royal Stafford Open Sugar Bowl. This scarce ceremonial porcelain bowl is an original Independent Order of Odd Fellows Rebekah Degree altar offering sugar bowl, produced in Germany between circa 1890 and 1905 for use in formal Rebekah lodge ritual ceremonies.

This form was not decorative china. It was commissioned specifically as altar service furniture and was placed at the central Rebekah altar during degree conferral, memorial observances, and ceremonial offerings.

The bowl displays the official early Rebekah celestial emblem, featuring the Crescent Moon halo with Seven Stars, the Dove of Peace, the All-Seeing Eye, and the Sacred Ark and Open Book, all executed in polychrome enamel with a hand-applied gilt rim. This pattern belongs to the first-generation Rebekah altar service programs and predates the rose-and-lily ceremonial sets adopted after World War I.
