Franciscan Ware California Restaurant Ware El Patio Coral 9" Hotel Pitcher 1950s

This one is in Good Condition with No Cracks No Crazing NOTE: there are two chip repairs on the rim(SEE pictures with pen). This is an authentic Franciscan Ware El Patio commercial hotel pitcher in the scarce Coral gloss glaze, produced in California during the golden age of mid-century ranch-style restaurant design. This heavy, thick-walled commercial form was made specifically for hotel dining rooms, railroad service, and motor lodge cafés, and was never part of standard household dinnerware production.

The Coral gloss El Patio glaze was a short-run commercial color used in Southwestern ranch restaurants, Union Pacific and Harvey House dining service, and California motor lodges from the late 1940s through the mid-1950s. These pitchers were used hard and discarded, making surviving examples scarce.
