This Ceramic Arts Studio piece comes from an exceptional lifetime collection of well over 1,000 pieces, including figurines, salt-and-pepper shakers, head vases, and other Ceramic Arts Studio designs. Carefully assembled over many years, the collection represents an extraordinary gathering of Ceramic Arts Studio pieces. We were very fortunate to acquire more than 500 pieces from this collection and are pleased to make them available to our buyers.

Smi-Li & Mo-Pi are a charming matching pair dressed in bright yellow garments accented with red collars and decorative medallions. One figure is modeled with long flowing black hair and hands held behind the back, while the companion figures hands are tucked into his sleeves.

Both figures feature the expressive hand-painted faces, glossy glazes, and whimsical character that distinguish Betty Harrington's Ceramic Arts Studio designs. Black trousers and shoes with red and white accents provide a striking contrast with the bright yellow clothing.

PATTERN & DESIGN

Smi-Li & Mo-Pi are wonderful examples of Betty Harrington's colorful and whimsical approach to companion figurines. The two figures were designed to complement one another while having their own individual poses and personalities.

Their bright yellow garments, glossy black hair, red collars, decorative chest medallions, and colorful shoes create a particularly vibrant presentation. The contrasting poses and expressive hand-painted faces add to the charm of the pair.

Standing approximately 6 1/8" high and presented together as a matching pair, Smi-Li & Mo-Pi make a colorful and distinctive example of Betty Harrington's mid-century Ceramic Arts Studio work.

These measure 6 1/8" High. I have provided many pictures to best describe the condition of this Figurine Set.
