ITEM DESCRIPTION
This antique Noritake Nippon Hand Painted Pink Roses Cobalt Blue & Gold Serving Bowl is in Excellent Antique Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing. Made in Japan during the Nippon era, this beautiful porcelain bowl dates to approximately 1911–1921 and measures approximately 7 3/4" across.
The bowl features an elegant four-lobed scalloped form decorated with delicate hand-painted pink rose garlands against a creamy ivory and white ground. Fine gold lines divide the border into individual decorative panels, giving the piece a wonderfully refined appearance.
Deep cobalt blue sections around the rim are richly embellished with intricate gold decoration. Additional blue and gold geometric accents alternate with the floral panels, creating an elaborate design typical of fine Nippon porcelain made for the American export market.
The combination of pink roses, cobalt blue and extensive gold decoration makes this an especially attractive example of early 20th-century Japanese porcelain.
The underside bears the green wreath Hand Painted Nippon backstamp.

The deeply colored cobalt blue rim provides a dramatic contrast and is enhanced by intricate gold ornamentation. The unusual four-lobed scalloped shape further distinguishes the bowl and creates a graceful profile when displayed.
Dating from the early 20th-century Nippon period, this approximately 7 3/4" bowl is an attractive example of the highly decorative Japanese porcelain produced for export during the years leading up to 1921.
