The J.R. Watkins Co. Antique Illinois Glass Co. 8 1/2" Clear Glass 12oz Medicine Bottle 1915-1929
This one is in Excellent Condition with No Chips, No Cracks, and No Fleabites. NOTE: This item has some minor scratches and faint straw marks from its original production. Very nice, clear, and clean, Watkins medicine bottle. This was made by the Illinois Glass Co from 1915 to 1929. The bottle is marked in relief script, The J.R. Watkins Co. In relief, capital letters under the title are REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. This holds 12 ounces. The base is finished with the diamond manufacturer's marks.
The Illinois Glass Co. was a major American glass bottle manufacturer that merged with the Owens Bottle Co. in 1929. Founded in 1873 in Alton, Illinois, the company was a leading innovator in the industry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The company was known for its "Diamond-I" logo, which featured a capital "I" inside a horizontally elongated diamond. This mark was used from 1915 until the company's merger in 1929.

This measures 8 1/2" High x 3" Wide x 1 3/4" Deep. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Bottle.
