PATTERN & DESIGN

Introduced during the mid-1950s, Hull Pottery's Royal Woodland line adapted many of the company's popular Woodland forms with vibrant high-gloss turquoise and pink spatter glazes accented by darker airbrushed shading. Designed primarily for department and chain store sales, the line reflected the growing popularity of colorful Mid-Century home décor while maintaining the quality and distinctive styling for which Hull Pottery was known. The W18 twin-handled vase is one of the larger and more impressive forms in the Royal Woodland series and remains a favorite among collectors for its elegant proportions, sculptural design, and striking glaze combination.
