ITEM DESCRIPTION

This vintage Romanian clear blown glass decanter features a classic mid-century export design with a gracefully curved ewer form and applied handle. The body is decorated with a delicate acid-etched grapevine pattern, including clusters of grapes and trailing leaves, a popular decorative motif used on European barware during the mid-20th century.

The form is elegant and functional, with a flared spout for easy pouring and a well-balanced applied handle. These Romanian pieces were widely exported during the 1950s–1970s and are appreciated for their clean lines and hand-worked construction.

ITEM CONDITION

This piece is in Excellent Vintage Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Fleabites. NOTE: There is light shelf wear and surface scratching on the base consistent with age and normal use. No cloudiness or staining to the glass. Displays very well.

PATTERN & DESIGN

The etched grape and vine motif reflects a long-standing European tradition associated with wine service and hospitality. This example features a lightly frosted acid-etched design rather than deep wheel cutting, consistent with Romanian export glass from the mid-20th century.

The body is hand-blown with a smooth, fire-polished pontil base and a separately applied handle, confirming hand-crafted production rather than molded manufacture.

This measures 10 1/2" High x 2 1/8" Wide. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Decanter.

The pictures are of the exact pieces you will receive). Photography Props & photo stands are not included.
