ITEM DESCRIPTION

This set of two Hazel Atlas Glass Capri Colonial Blue Flat Tumblers is in Excellent Vintage Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Fleabites. Made by Hazel Atlas Glass, these attractive mid-century tumblers date to the 1960s and each measures approximately 3" tall with a 4-ounce capacity.

The tumblers feature the distinctive Capri Colonial Blue color, a beautiful blue-green shade that becomes especially rich and vibrant through the substantial glass base.

Each tumbler has a clean, simple mid-century form with gently tapered sides, a smooth undecorated surface and a thick, heavy base. The substantial base gives the glasses a wonderful weight and creates particularly attractive variations in the blue color as light passes through the glass.

Hazel Atlas Capri is a classic example of colorful mid-century American glassware. Its simple forms allow the distinctive Colonial Blue glass to become the focal point of the design.

These flat tumblers feature smooth tapered bodies contrasted by unusually thick, substantial bases. The concentration of glass at the bottom produces deeper shades of blue and aqua, while the thinner upper portion appears lighter and more transparent.
