This Spode Italian Blue Charger is in Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Gloss remains strong. There may be light utensil marks consistent with normal use.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Spode Italian pattern charger in the classic blue and white transferware design. Each bowl measures approximately 12 3/4 inches in diameter. Made in England and marked dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
The Italian pattern features a romantic pastoral scene with classical ruins, bridge, river, and figures in the foreground, surrounded by a richly detailed floral and scroll border. This pattern was originally introduced in 1816 and remains one of Spode’s most iconic and collected designs.
