This antique Bohemian art glass vase is in Excellent Antique Condition with No Chips, No Cracks, and No Flea Bites. NOTE: There may be light shelf wear and minor base wear consistent with age. The glass is clean, and the color displays beautifully. See pictures for details.

ITEM DESCRIPTION

This is a beautiful antique Bohemian art glass vase, attributed to the Harrach production style, dating to the late 19th century. The vase features a white cased glass body with a rich cranberry top that transitions into a softly ruffled and crimped rim.

The form is enhanced by two applied clear glass thorn handles, each decorated with pronounced prunts, giving the vase strong character and a hand-worked appearance. The rounded body and balanced proportions create a pleasing silhouette, while the contrast between the white base and cranberry top provides excellent visual appeal.

The rim is hand-crimped with flowing folds, adding movement and elegance to the piece. This type of applied work and coloration is characteristic of quality Bohemian glass from the 1885–1900 period.

PATTERN & DESIGN

This vase features a classic late 19th-century Bohemian design combining cased glass construction with applied decorative elements. The thorn handles are formed with applied prunts, creating a textured, sculptural effect. The cranberry overlay contrasts with the white base, while the ruffled rim adds a dynamic and elegant finish. The combination of color, form, and hand-applied details makes this a strong example of Bohemian art glass from the Victorian era.
