PATTERN & DESIGN

This Bohemian crystal rose bowl features an elegant cut-to-clear floral design with stylized roses and surrounding leaves. Portions of the cobalt blue surface are carefully cut away to expose the clear crystal beneath, creating a strong contrast between the deep blue exterior and brilliant clear decoration. Fine crosshatch cutting adds texture and detail to the floral motifs. The deeply folded and ruffled upper rim forms a series of graceful openings around the top, giving the bowl its distinctive rose bowl shape. The combination of rich cobalt blue crystal, detailed floral cutting, and sculptural rim makes this an attractive example of mid-20th-century Bohemian decorative crystal.
