PATTERN & DESIGN

Bullicante is one of the most recognized techniques associated with Murano glassmaking. Developed during the twentieth century, the process involves trapping carefully controlled air bubbles within layers of molten glass to create a striking three-dimensional effect. This paperweight showcases the technique beautifully, with a large concentrated bubble cluster surrounded by smaller bubbles that appear suspended in space. The result is a timeless example of classic Murano art glass design.
