Vohann Of California Mid-Century Modern Set Of 3 Green Mottled Glaze Asian Figurines 1962

This charming set of three vintage Asian figurines was produced by Vohann of California and dated 1962. There is natural crazing. NOTE: One figurine has a touchup on the hair and toe and another has a repair to the hair (SEE pictures with pen). Featuring flowing robes decorated in a beautiful mottled green glaze, the figures embody the clean sculptural styling and Asian influences that became popular in Mid-Century Modern décor. The contrast between the glossy glazed robes and the unglazed surfaces accented with gold highlights creates a striking and sophisticated presentation.

ITEM DESCRIPTION

Vintage set of three Vohann Of California ceramic Asian figurines. Each figure is modeled in traditional robes finished in a rich variegated green mottled glaze with subtle tonal variations throughout. The heads, feet, and bases are left unglazed and enhanced with gold highlights, creating a warm bronze-like appearance. Their serene facial expressions and stylized forms make them an attractive display group for collectors of Mid-Century Modern pottery and Asian-inspired decorative arts.

ITEM CONDITION

These figurines are in Very Good Vintage Condition with No Chips, No Cracks, and No Repairs.

NOTE: One figurine has a touchup on the hair and toe(SEE picture with pen).

The glaze remains glossy and attractive with light wear consistent with age and display. There may be minor wear to the gold highlights.

These figurines are excellent examples of Vohann's distinctive Mid-Century California pottery.
